About Us

Robin Burner Daleo

Founding Partner 

Robin Burner Daleo is the founding Partner at the Law Offices of Robin Burner Daleo, PLLC. After spending seventeen years at a well-regarded Elder Law firm, the first seven as a legal assistant and then upon her admission to the Bar, the last ten as an Associate Attorney, Robin decided to open her own firm.  She focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Trust and Estate Administration, Guardianship, and Elder Law. Robin is a zealous advocate for her clients offering personal, compassionate legal counsel.

 

Robin is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association where she served as a co-chair of the Suffolk County Elder Law Committee for two years. Robin lectures frequently to the public as well as to professionals on topics related to Elder Law, Medicaid, Special Needs Planning and Estate Planning

 

Robin is an adjunct professor at both the Touro Law Center and The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where she teaches Trusts and Estates and Elder Law, respectively.


In 2023, Robin was recognized as a Super Lawyer for her expertise in Trusts and Estates. This is exceptional achievement and title is awarded to lawyers across the country who have reached high achievements and standards within their respective fields.


In 2021, Robin was awarded with the 2022 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America recognition for her work in Trusts and Estates and outstanding professional excellence in private practice.

 

In 2020, for the seventh consecutive year, Minneapolis-based Law & Politics, publishers of Super Lawyers magazines, announced that Robin had been named as a Rising Star Attorney. Super Lawyers, published in the New York Times Magazine, is a listing of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in their respective fields. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor.

 

In 2018, Robin was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award by Touro Law Center and in 2016, Robin was named as an ‘Outstanding Woman in Law’ by Hofstra University School of Law Center for Children Families and the Law and Long Island Business News.

 

Robin is certified to serve as counsel, guardian and court evaluator in Supreme Court Guardianship matters pursuant to the Part 36 List. She is also an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for Veterans Benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.


Robin received her undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College where she graduated with Senior Honors. She received her Juris Doctor from Touro Law School, Magna Cum Laude. At graduation she was awarded the National Association of Woman Lawyer’s Outstanding Law Student Award and the Award for Exemplary Contribution to the Growth of the Law Center.

 

She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She lives in East Moriches with her family.

Kimberly Trueman Elder Law Attorney

Kimberly Trueman

Kimberly Trueman has been an attorney for almost a decade. She concentrates her practice on Estate Planning, with a focus on Elder Law. She has expertise in estate and income tax planning, Medicaid applications, business succession planning, estate administration and Guardianship

 

Kimberly received her Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Literature and Language from Stony Brook University in 2009 where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and was the valedictorian of her department. She then received her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University, School of Law in 2012. 

 

While attending law school, Kimberly was the recipient of the Honors Scholarship for academic excellence as well as the Linda Carmody-Roberts Scholarship for her commitment to pursuing a career in the Trust & Estates and Elder Law fields. Due to her excellence in dispute resolution and family law, Kimberly was invited to join Hofstra’s Mediation Clinic where she became a certified mediator and was awarded the Sari M. Friedman Endowed Scholarship award for excellence in family law.

 

In 2023, Kimberly was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Elder Law.

Amanda Pendel 

New Title

Amanda Pendel is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Robin Burner Daleo, PLLC, where she specializes in Guardianships and Trusts, and Estates.

 

Amanda's legal skills are supported by a distinguished academic background. She earned her Juris Doctor from Touro University, graduating with honors as a Cum Laude recipient. 

 

While attending Law School, Amanda was a member of the Honors Program and held the position of Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Honors Board. Additionally, she served as a Senior Staffer on Touro Law Review. Notably, her dedication to aging and longevity law was acknowledged when she received a scholarship from the Kermit Gitenstein Foundation. 

 

Amanda is admitted to practice law in the state of New York and maintains active membership in the New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Elder Law & Estate Planning Committee. Amanda is certified to serve as Counsel, Guardian, and Court Evaluator in Supreme Court Guardianship matters pursuant to the Part 36 List. 

 

Residing in Mt. Sinai, Amanda finds joy in cooking, DIY projects, and spending time with her family and friends.
